With the opening up of the market to competition, the organizing authorities want to take control of ticket distribution in their territory. This could lead to complexity for travelers.
How can the system be unified at the national level and multimodality promoted while simplifying life for travelers?
The government has begun to provide an answer by recently appointing Wiremind as the service provider to set up a national ticket distribution system for the network, currently operated by SNCF under the Intercités brand.
This is a first step towards a MaaS system. What are the next challenges and who will be involved in meeting them?
